Penelope Cruz has landed a role in the anticipated follow up to 'Sex and the City' !

According to OK!, Cruz has been tapped to play herself in several scenes, including a red carpet based shot.

She joins Miley Cyrus and Liza Minnelli, who have also been linked to the forthcoming flick.

Sex and the City 2 is due in theaters May of 2010. The flick follows the 2008 blockbuster starring Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall.
