Jesse Metcalfe will return to his stomping ground on ABC's Desperate Housewives if everything goes well with a rumored multi-episode contract.

Reprising his noted role as John Rowland, the teenage gardener who had an affair with Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker), Metcalfe is said to be coming back stronger, longer and according to OK! shirtless.

"He'll be on for six to eight episodes, with the possibility of coming back full time. He'll have a lot of shirtless scenes," a source told the magazine Monday.

There is no word as to whether his character will reconnect with Gabrielle (Longoria Parker).

The next season of Desperate Housewives is set to kick off this September.
